Giving To The Auburn District Nursing Association

The services of Auburn District Nursing Association are vital to the elderly in our communities, especially as our population ages and individuals choose to stay at home as long as possible. We have a long and strong history of community outreach and preventive clinics. Our tradition of screenings, immunizations and general outreach continues to this day --- thanks to community support and donations from individuals.

Innovation to meet changing needs

Since 1919, we have experienced many changes in health care, due to Medicare coverage, the shift to managed care, and of course, technological advances. Recently, the Auburn District Nursing Association started, with support from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, a Telehealth monitoring program for high risk, homebound patients. With a focus on the future, in June 2007, we became one of the early subscribers to this totally web-based clinical and billing information system for home health.

It is our commitment to quality and personalized patient care that has led us to invest in a tablet-based point of care system for our clinical staff. By carrying full patient records to each home, we are ensuring greater standardization and timeliness of documentation, improving our ability to respond earlier and more effectively to patient needs. Support from caring individuals has made it possible for the Auburn District Nursing Association to implement this state of the art system.

Help us to serve more

In a changing and increasingly challenging health care environment, Auburn District Nursing Association has shown growth in the number of patients' served during the past year and continues to add services and utilize technology in a manner that best meets our patient's needs. Your support has brought us this far and your continued support will ensure a strong future for the Auburn District Nursing Association.

The following goals targeted in our strategic plan are where we especially appreciate your contributions:

  • To fund new programs such as: supportive care (home health aides for individuals who need assistance to remain at home), palliative care for those who are terminally ill, and cardiac care, currently, the main focus of our Telehealth program.
  • To help educate staff to gain specialty certification in the areas that meet our patients' needs.
  • To support our ongoing individual and community care.
  • To help purchase needed equipment for clinical staff, such as tablet computers and pulse oximeters.
