There is no waiting list for any of our services and patients are seen with 24-48 hours of referral.
We employ state-of-the-art technology to ensure the most effective care for those we serve. Two examples are the use of electronic medical records and Telehealth care.

Nursing Services
Skilled nursing services are available to any individual within the Auburn District Nursing Association service area regardless of their ability to pay. Any person, family member, caregiver, physician, nurse or social worker, can refer individuals to the Auburn VNA for an in-home evaluation for care.
Nursing Assessment/Care Management
A registered nurse (RN) will conduct an in-home evaluation to assess the patient’s needs. Whenever possible, this RN will also serve as the primary case manager while under the care of the Auburn VNA. The RN/Case Manager will contact the physician to coordinate care. Their objective is to aid recovery or help manage an illness, enabling patients to stay in their home. The RN Case Manager will help with insurance logistics as well as help obtain other necessary resources.

- Acute and chronic disease care and management
- Acute illness recovery
- Post-surgical care
- Physical assessment and evaluation
- Blood sample collection
- Oxygen analysis and monitoring
- Wound and ostomy care
- Catheter care and management
- Medication and medical supply management
- Disease, medication, and diet instruction and management
- Telemonitoring, for care management for heart disease and congestive heart failure
- Safety risk assessment and injury prevention
- Palliative and end-of-life care

Adult Day Care
Millbury Adult Day Health Care Center
A safe, restorative, caring environment for elders
Millbury Adult Day Health Care Center offers comprehensive elder day care for residents of Millbury, Auburn, Sutton, Grafton, Worcester and other surrounding communities. A program of The Auburn District Nursing Association, the Center provides a safe and stimulating environment in a protective group setting.
Our clients enjoy time spent with their contemporaries and our professional, compassionate staff. They are in a safe, clean, fun and mentally stimulating environment where they feel comfortable and welcome. They receive medical supervision and are kept physically active. And perhaps most importantly, they are able to continue to live at home while the burden on caregivers is lightened.
In our warm, welcoming, home-like setting, our clients enjoy a host of services and activities, such as:
- Home-cooked meals and healthy snacks*
- Movies and music
- Morning social group
- Monthly birthday parties
- Outdoor picnic area
- Special seasonal activities
- Assistance with activities like bathing, cooking and self care
- Group and therapeutic exercise

While we keep our clients' days active and stimulating, we also keep a careful eye on their medical needs.
Our professional staff supervises personal care, skin and body treatments, nursing care and physical, speech and occupational therapy. In addition, we offer:
- Health screening and medical evaluation
- Specialized equipment and training for those with physical disabilities
- Caring supervision for those who are mentally impaired, confused or disoriented
- Supervised (but private) use of a whirlpool bath
